Matthew presents Jesus as the promised King in the line of Abraham and David, born in Bethlehem and called Immanuel. The song follows His teaching, His death and resurrection, and His command to make disciples among the nations. Its call is to build on the rock of His words and welcome the kingdom He announces. The risen Christ remains with His people as they share His message.
