Habakkuk

Habakkuk asks why violence flourishes and waits for God’s answer, even when that answer is hard to understand. The song gives room for questions and for faithful listening. Its refrain chooses joy in God even if the fig tree bears no fruit and the fields produce no food. It asks Jesus for trust while waiting, without calling hunger or pain good.
