Sitting here happy on a sunny day,
Watching the waves go by.
Sunshine glisten in the ocean top,
Not a cloud up in the sky.
Friends can make your day go right.
Friends can help you on a lonely night.
Friends can tell you just how they feel.
You know friends are truly real.

Kickin’ back with a friend who'll understand,
And help you laugh your tears away.

Got the comfort of my friends to respect and defend.

It’s up to you to ask God and Jesus to be a friend to you
