Exercise
Album: Action • About NECM
Exercise uses the idea of a workout to talk about spiritual growth. Instead of training only for earthly goals, it encourages listeners to practice love, joy, hope, and faith until those virtues become stronger. The song is practical and uplifting, reminding us that what we exercise grows, and when we exercise faith in Jesus Christ, it changes how we live and how we treat others.

“But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.”
“But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”
“And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.”
